can I sponsor my uncle?

Can I sponsor my Uncle & Aunt (my dad's sister) to visit US?
If so, do they need to show any proof of relationship with me?
Do they need to show my original birth certificate during interview?
Btw, I sponsored my parents in summer 2007, will that be a problem?

In theory you can, but in practice , sponsoring parents sounds very natural to an officer than sponsoring an uncle and an aunt. The officer may think
you wish to help them settle there.

I suggest they should show self financing the trip if they have very good family income from all sources(Rs. 10 lacs+ per annum) and you can just send an invitation letter but NO affidavit of support, I-134. That may work out better.

Having said all that , success will depend more on their ties to India (Income, assets and family ties).
