Are Paystubs mandatory for job-holder parents?

Hi, My parents plan to take the visa appointment sometime in mid-March 2008, and since both of them work, is it mandatory for them to submit paystubs?
Has anone gone through this before?
Any help is appreciated!

Also I have just one sibling, my brother, and he is in Australia. Do you think my parents should tell the VO officer(if asked) that their son is in Australia and Daughter(myself) is in USA??

I am sure that will not help much in getting their visas!!!!!

Financial statements, like ...

... bank documents, investment documents, tax returns etc. but not pay stubs.
