Visitor visa renewal/ Passport expiry

Hello,

I have the following questions around visas and passposrts and am hoping you'll be able to assist me (am an Indian citizen, with a Green Card residing in the USA):

1. My parents have visited the US a couple times in the past 5 years. They have a 10 year multiple entry visitor visa. Their visas are due to expire on March 22nd and I'm being told that I need to initiate the visa renewal process asap. Please let me know what steps to follow and what forms to fill out.
   
2. My own passport has now been expired for a few months and I'm planning to visit India this year end. What is the procedure I should follow to get my new passport?
