  • Visiting Visa rejected for the grandmother

    Hello,
I just came to know that the Chennai US consulate did not grand a visiting visa for my wife's grandmother. She is about 70 age but healthy so we thought of bringing her along with us when we come to India in this APR.

Since its rejected now, i am thinking of trying again in APR at chennai (since i need to extend my H1b i can probably try for a appointment on the same day).

    Generally they asked 3 questions:
    - Does her daughter (my wife's mother) visited US (Yes)
    - Do we have kids (yes - one)
    - How old is the baby (about 2 yrs).

Can somebody let me know if its advisable to go for another try within 2 months ? Is it worth trying ?

Please share your experience and views?
    Appreciate it
    Regards
    Shibu

What reason was given for the denial?

Unless the situation that caused the denial changes in those 2 months... there is no point trying... it is not a lottery... you have to DO something to overcome 214(b).
