  • questions while preparing a cover letter

    Hi all,

I have been preparing a cover letter on behalf of my mom who is going for a visitors visa for the first time. Here are a few things I'm mentioning in the letter that are really true:

For the past 11 years my daughter has been visiting me in india. Because of work demands and life after marriage she couldn't visit me for the past 3 years. Also whenever she visited her itinerary was busy that I couldn't spend quality time with her. So I hope the trip will help reconnect with my daughter and son-in-law.

I've been wondering if mentioning the above information would be beneficial to her case? or it is unnecessary information that could be detrimental where the VO can say that "she needs to plan her vacation time properly and visit you?"

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Its all about "Need to know" basis. Though the letter will convey your credibility, the VO might consider that as an opportunity to reject the visa. There is a good possibility that the VO will say that your sister should plan her schedule accordingly. My suggestion: just mention that she wants to spend time with her daughter and son-in-law "AND" visit tourist places across the country. Pregnancy doesn't seem like a good reason to visit these days.

    My two cents!
