Urgent!My parents have visa appointment on monday in chennai consulate.I forgot to sign the Prepared by column (column 40 ) on DS-156 application.
and they informed me about it today morning only.
I already sent the application to my parents. i don't have enough time for mailing too.but i filled with all my details of my name, address .
now since its less than 2 bussiness days, iam unable to modify the application so that i can give my brother details( he is in india and he can sign them.)

but i can't change the info now.
Iam worried about what will happen , as in the prepared by section, i have all my details (my name, and my address and date printed).I did not sign it?

so can i print out here and sign it and fax or scan and send it so that it can be added to original and tell my father to inform about this before only.

if anybody had similar situation ,can you please tell me what to do?

You don't have to do anything.

That column is only for professionals like attorneys, visa consultants etc.

If you helped your parents filled the form, you don't have to fill that column.

Therefore, relax!!

is it still ok even if i printed my name and address in the the column and did not sign the application.

or shall i take a copy of it and sign it and fax it,so that they can carry with along the original and explain that i forgot to sign it .

or is it better to leave it as it is.
