Concequences of having a Visa Canceled?

My girlfriend is from Peru and had a 10 Year US R Visa. Type B1 B2. Entries M. She left the states to return to Peru, and then on her second visit to the states she admited that she had done some part time work on her last visit. Her visa was canceled. It was December 2003.

I am an Australian citizen and would love to travel with my girlfriend to the states one day soon. What are the consequences of having this visa canceled. How can we put the wrongs right?

If the visa is cancelled because she worked illegally, she may not be able to get visa again.

One option is get married to her and file for her green card.
