I am in the process of applying for Tourist Visa for my In-Laws. They have recently (about a year ago) moved over to a new address in Mumbai. However their passport has their previous address (of Thane district, outside Mumbai) on it. Also, they have sold their previous house, hence dont have any documentation indicating their previous address.
I have the following queries in this regards:
1. Can i indicate the new address in the DS-156 form, even though their passport has a different address ? If yes, do they require to produce any other documents apart from the house ownership papers at the time of interview?
2. Do i need to specify the old address in any of the supporting documents ?
3. By any chance, will they require to change their address on the passport and then apply for the B1 visa?
