    hi everyone. immihelp has been a great help always.

    my query this time is that is it ture that the immigration officers at some airports are very harsh and at some they are not that rude and harsh.

    ive been to US alot of time and have never over stayed.. i stayed for 2 months at the most but these days theres a alot to hear about how we are treated at the us airports.

    so if u give me some info on my query and also tell me about the behaviour of the immigration guys with us , it wud be a great help

    False information ...

    ... and rumours always created the worst issues in the world.

    There's no such thing as some locations having different psyche of officers.

    There may be an individual person once in a while who may not be polite or very professional, but none of these officers will be harsh or rude.

    They're responsible educated personnel who're answerable for their behavior.

    If anyone who comes across rude or arrogant behavior, this should be reported to the department of state.

      thanks alot for the info.

      the other thing is that i have to go to virginia but my flight lands at newark. and my family will come to pick me up from newark so is it ok if i take a flight to newark instead of virginia?

        Perfect ...

        ... you have the proper justification of why you're landing at EWR.

        You won't be [most probably] asked, but if you're, then just tell the officer what you mentioned here.

        As you know by experience, it's best to be honest and up front, but at the same time stick to the point only and not reveal too much information unless specifically asked for.

        You may surely talk about general stuff, very briefly, like weather etc.
