information regarding parents visit visa

Hi,
i am newbie to this site... i found some question answers regarding dependent visa for parents. i am having a question regarding this visa can anyone help me out ...
first of all i need what are the documents that i ve to forward to my parents
2. what shld my parents produce documents
3. the major question is.. in my passport the last name of my parents and my my parents passport is little bit different .. only one word is different..does i ve to produce any document for relavent to this. like in my passport my parents last name is xyzi and in my parents passport lastname is xyzu will this make any difference.
please anyone help me ragarding.

visitor visa is not a dependent visa...
