Travelling to US with one way ticket on travel visa

Is there any problem if we purchase a one way ticket to US for a person visiting US at the port of entry

I do not think any airline will give you a one way ticket on a travel visa.
Secondly, the inspector at US entry can ask you for your ticket to see
when you intend to leave US, so a return ticket has to be there with a travel visa.

Airlines will not let you board a plane without having a return ticket unless you can show them an extended stay visa "H1, L1, J1, F1, etc" or a Green Card.

Also, POE officers will be very suspicious of you not having a return ticket.
