Self financing of the trip

My Mother is planning to visit my Sister in USA from India . My sister is a US Citizen. While I (her son) work in India and have all papers to prove financial independence, my mother is dependent on me and has no tax returns etc . Would she still require sponsorship papers from my sister? We would ideally like to finance this trip on our own.

If she is financing the trip on her own or if you are sponsoring it, your sister just needs to send the proof of her legal status.
