    i wanted to ask that how much US $ in cash can one carry legally into the USA?

    US$10,000 or less if undeclared ...

    ... this includes cash and traveller's checks but not credit card valuations.

    If you're bringing more than US$10,000 then you need to declare the funds and have documentation to show the origin.
