Visitor Visa - Arrangement for Documents

Hi,

It seems that this forum is really usefull for getting answers to your queries. First would like to thanks the Immihelp team for all their co-operation. I have a query, my parents visitor visa interview is scheduled in next couple of days. I want to know is there any specific order of documents my parents have to keep in file. I mean if there is any specific order as how the documents should be kept in file. Would appreciate your response.

Not really ...

... just go by what you feel as important ones at the top.

For all you know, they may not even look at most of your documents.

Though, you need to know the order so if asked for any specific document you don't have to search desperately @ the window!

When they enter the consulate, the blue file documents that are needed would be taken by the document arrangers prior to the visa interview. They don't even take any supporting documents. Only the main DS156,157, photos etc are put in the blue bag.

Rest all is dependent on what the VO might ask from your parents and how that should be organized in the file. I would go with

Your Invite Letter
Affidavit of support (if not taken earlier)
Their CA/Bank statements/property ties overseas
Your status/passport documents (H1 etc)
Your paystubs
Your Bank Statements

Normally they ask questions about their children, job location,salary details and the properties in India , VO wont ask questions other than these . Your parents should know ur address , they may be able to tell the VO,in case if VO asks them . In case if your father is retired from service , its better to carry the pension details form (VO asked one of my friend's father about this) .No worries , Everything will be fine ...
