  • Inviting one parent

Hello I need some advice here. I am a permanent resident here in USA. I want to invite my mother on visit visa to come over and stay with me for some months but I cannot sponsor both parents right now so what reason should my mother give to the VO upon asking why her husband is not travelling with her. My father is retired so she cannot tell that he has his job or something.I have heard that they ask the reason.I am her daughter and not working.
    Thanks

You do not have to "sponsor" your parents... they MUST qualify on their own terms and ties to visit the USA.

I can not tell you what to say or answer... you must answer the questions yourself. If dad can not come, then answer why? because you do not have enough money? he doesn't want to travel? etc.

It makes very little difference who "sponsors". The visa is obtained by the alien on its own merits.
