visitor visa appointment

i am trying to book a visa appointment at chennai consulate for my parents thru vfs website. It does show available dates, but iam not able to select one. There is no way i can click or select those dates,but when we proceed forward it asked me to fill form 157 and then it asked me to save it and exit. but i did not get any email notification for appointment date. when iam trying to download the saved application it's asking me to select courier services. but when iam trying to do so there is no option for select courier services...
can any one suggest me how i should go head and resolve the problem.

This is what I did for taking an appointment in new delhi embassy.
filled ds156 forms
selected interview date
selected address for passport deivery(I chose one among the available choices for blue dart courier)
Then clicked confirm appointment.
I got the ds156 forms for my perents, interview confirmation and guidelines sheet in the email, which I printed
