Urgent - Visitor Visa for Parents in law - 2nd interview

My parents in law got rejected for a visitor visa a few days back. I am on an H1B visa and had sponsored them. However, on their DS-156, under the column ' Who will pay for the trip?', they had written their own name and carried my affidavit of support as a back up in addition to their own funds. They were denied visa under category 214b. Most of their interview questions were relevant to their own finances.

Is it advisable to reapply within the next couple of weeks with the DS-156 changed to reflect that they are being sponsored by me or will this be considered ****?
