    Why was your visa denied?

Generally, you should apply if you can demonstrate a change in circumstances since your last interview. If nothing has changed and you cannot identify why you were refused, while you may certainly apply, it is likely that you will be refused again.

If you post more about you situation, perhaps someone can give you more information.

      visa interview...

      hello Guys!,
during the entire interview, i am so very honest in my answers..ex..she asked me how many hectares is our farm..where my husband is enjoying working . that's why he will not come with me..i answered , its not hectare, but 4thousand sq.mtr..(:confused): .but actually. its. more than a hectare all in all..then she asked me, tell me about ur business? ( since, i wrote self-employed in my DS-156)..i answered, I do buy and sell. like cosmetics, feminine items, and a realty agent....
she didn't asked for other docs like 134 of my daughter and son-in-law...
Maybe, it's my financial ties i lacked thats why i was denied..or. maybe, the way I answered ,,,coz. I was a little bit tensed at that time..
i have 2 professional sister, and 1 brother who are USCitizens and a mother( green card holder)..my daughter also is a green card holder..
really, i don't have intention to stay longer in the US, just 7 weeks..
this time, i am comfident to have another interview...Sir. changing my occupation , from self-employed to housewife..Is it a good idea???
      Pls. help!..thank you very much..,
      God bless you...

It was your ties to your home country that resulted in the denial. The fact that you have family in US that are GC holder and/or citizens make you a potential immigrant as they can apply for an immigrant petition for you.

I am not a lawyer and you need to consult with one to validate any info posted on the forum and discuss your case specifics. H1b Question? Read the FAQ first.

2 months may be a short time for second attempt...

If your situation has not changed in 2 months, the second attempt would most probably result in the same decision ( ie denial).

My parents were in a similar situation. Their visitor visa was rejected at first attempt. We have reapplied within 2 months and the officer was not convinced that the situation has changed in 2 months and denied the second time also.

We waited for one year, prepared documents pertaining to social and financial ties and applied for the third time and they got 10 yr multiple entry visa.

          Good luck.

don't exactly remember all the questions

              vsandu,

It was almost 5 years ago. First time both my parents applied together. They were asked simple questions such as how long I was in US; when did I last visit India and what do my parents do for living etc.. Some how, the IO was not convinced that they have strong ties back home so denied their visa. Second time, only my mother applied within 2 months and was rejected again stating that nothing has changed since the previous application.

We waited for a year and hired an auditor to prepare financial statements; got a reference letter from a retired DGP (a friend of ours) assuring their return. Included the itenarary of their trip with a firm return date.

During the 3rd attempt, the IO asked them only the following questions a) when are they planning to go to the US 2) what are the places they would like to visit and c) when are they planning to return. He was convinced and gave them 10yr multiple entry visa.

Wish you good luck with your mom's visa !

                Susie16,

One thing to point out is that your citizen siblings could have applied for you to get a green card and have not done so. While the wait is very long, that would be a way to stay legally.

How close is your daughter to applying for citizenship? How did she get her green card? Do you have other children; where do they live?
