Bank letter for visitors visa

I still didn't get the bank letter which I requested 11 days back and they say they mailed it.
appointment date is approaching just 5 days left , not sure what to do , Ididn't mail the documents yet. waiting for that letter. Not sure how many days it takes to send to india all the documents to bangalore.

Is that letter mandatory, what if I don't send it.

Any suggestions are welcome

Yes ...

... but you can in the interim send the statement and then scan the letter and e-mail it to your home country where someone can print it out.
