visiting son(F1) under nephew's(citizen) sponcorship

Hi folks,
I am presently on F1 visa and i want to bring my mom to US on visitor visa.As we know i presently cannot sponcor, my nephew who is a citizen is ready to sponcor her.But when the officer asks,Can my mom say that i am coming to visit my son?
I have my grad walk next year so is it better if i wait until next year or can i go ahead with visiting son under nephew's sponcorship.
Any suggestions are highly appreciated.

If your parents are rich with good income, she can show self -financing the trip without any sponsorship from anyone. You can send an invitation letter only. If this is possible, this is the best scenario and will increase the chances of getting the visa.

If your parents do not have good income, you do not have any choice but to try with nephew's sponsorship. There are no guarantees, some officers will consider it , others won't.
Your mom must show good ties to India; family, occupation .
