Dear Members,
Thanks at the outset for this helpful forum.
I am a recent graduate on OPT and also got my H1B approved-but I start working with my employer in July'2008.
I am married and my husband is on H1 since 1 year ( was on F1 since past 5 years).
I wish to invite my parents for a short visit since I am on vacation until July. Requesting your help with few queries:
Background: Mother is a housewife, dad retired-earns money through financial investments in India, Younger brother (25yrs.)-owns small business in India. Family income and ties can be supported by owned properties, house, FDs etc.
1. Is it advisable for my parents to apply for their visa together?
2. Must I provide them with an invitation letter ( I don't mind, just checking its importance)
3. Do you see any potential issues in the case?
4. Based on the experiences shared I am not calling my brother - is that really good or can he take a chance and show ties based on his small business started 6 months back? ( he has no tax returns or FD)
Appreciate your help.
