  • Urgent question (HELp me)

    Hello Guys

Im Angie(20 y.o.),residing in the Philippines.

I have a question for you.
My mother and father (who have tourist visa) are planning to interview(this month) us together with my 2 brothers, one is a student(21) and the other is newly employed(22y.o.)
Our reasons for temporary stay are: to visit my aunt(only relative in Cal.) in California (who has a husband there) and to visit other cool places in California.

My father acts as our sponsor because we are still dependent/student and my older brother with just adequate salary in his job.
Is it possible to approve us for tourist visa?

We also decide to go to US right after our 1st sem schooling and come back 2-3weeks after

I also want to know what important documents(especially in our case) to present in the consul.

Thank u for the time reading...

    Feel free to drop comments...

    Thanks and Godbless

Np one can tell you the probability of obtaining visa.

You need to show very good ties to your home. Be sure to take documentaion of your school and break times to show you are traveling during our vacation and are enrolled for next year. If any tuition payments have been made for after your trip, that is good to show as well.

Your brother who is employed should have a letter from his employer showing he would be permitted to take a vacation - especially since he is new to the job.

How long have your parents had their visas? Have your parents visited on their visas already? If so, did they visit your aunt and how long did they stay on that visit? Things like this will affect your chances. Be sure you have all of their passport/travel documentation when you go to the interview as they will be traveling with you.

Make a group appointment so all of you children can appear together for your visas. Each of you will need to qualify so it is possible that someone will not get approval while others do. I think that all of you going together will make the experience less scary and you will do better answering the VO's (visa officer) questions. Make a list of the places you plan to go see so you can easily tell the VO your plans for touring.

Look at the main part of this website and the USCIS and State Department website for very detailed information about what documents you should take to your interview.

Let us know if you have more questions.

So is it ok to bring pictures (like our houses, cars, families) to prove that we have good living here in our country?

yes i'll tell my brother about that too...

my parents got their visas on yr 2002. they already travelled in asia and in US 2 times(2003&2004) but only in New York state. My aunt just lived there last 2006

can my mother/father or both can go with us inside the consular office while we are interviewed by the consul??? because we are already aged 20 above but we are still students. or maybe they will just need us 3 children for interview.

      thanks for the reply C4us

Anybody can take a picture of somebody's house.... bring property deeds and titles of ownership.

You are all considered adults and should plan to go without your parents. That is why I suggested a group interview for the three children. I think you will be more confotable and confident as a group.

Since your parents are funding the trip and traveling with you, I believe their occasional prior trips and returns will work in your favor. Since they have visited other states already, it makes sense for them to want to go to California to see family and tour.

There are many positive signs for your travel. Make sure you have documentation! Pictures are fine, but as PraetorianXI said, be sure to have the supporting documents as well. The biggest negatives are your ages and marriage statuses. I think it is possible to overcome these with good documentation about your education plans and community ties. I hope it works out, and you have a great trip!

Check back once you know the results.
