  • Sister's B2 Denied..pl Help

    hI,
My elder sister who is 42 yrs has a family, a husband with good job/self employed, good bank balance, has a 13 yr old son. no hassles. has all the documentation to prove that she will go back to India. she was asked very simple questions but was denied the visa for the reson that she initially said wrong answer and corrected immediately. she said the age difference b/w my 2 kids is 1 1/2 yrs while it is 2 1/2 yrs. she corrected immediately. the officer said I am not convinced with your answer and was asked to come back again later. now how early should she go for the visa. and what is the probability of she getting the visa after one deniel. any info on this is highly appreciated
    thanks

Though the answer might sound like the cause for denial, it may not be the real cause for denial. Either the VO was not convinced of her relationship with you or thought she has immigrant intent.

As long as there were substantial changes in the ties to the home country, she is free to apply anytime again. Suggested wait time is 6 months but it is just a thumb rule not a mandatory rule.

I am not a lawyer and you need to consult with one to validate any info posted on the forum and discuss your case specifics. H1b Question? Read the FAQ first.
