What is the intent for the Singapore visa?

Generally, Singapore visit pass is granted at the immigration counter in Singapore for upto 4 days for tourism if they have a valid US visa.

If you use the Singapore tourism department services at the sirport for the 3-4 hr trip on their bus, a visa is not needed. They just keep your passport during the duration of the trip and return it after the trip.
