Aunt visitor Visa

My aunt visited me last year in march. Her Visa expired in Sept (got only 6 month visa)
Now I want to apply for a visa again so that she can come in furture when she wishes.

Is it a good idea to apply VISA within a year of the VISA expiration date? or should wait more. because if we apply within a year of visa expiration date, then the interview dates are available soon.

Please let me know what is the best option.
