B1/B2 visa question!

Hi,

I dont know if this has been answered before or not. However, My parents had gone for B1 visa and my mother got her visa for 10 years; no problem. but my father got a 221g pink form and now they had asked for his ppt too. We suspect that he might get a visa only for 2 months. My question is if he gets for only 2 months, will it start on the day they issue to the date 2 months from then...or will they give a visa for a year or so and say the visit duration can only be for 2 months?

i dont know how this works...can someone who had any experience like this put some light on this?

Most likely, he will also get a 10 yr. You will have to wait and see. The visa has nothing to do with the permission to stay in the U.S. A visa is just an entry/travel document.

Visit duration is decided at entry, not by the visa.
