  • I want to invite my sister and brother in law on tourist Visa

    Hi,
Where do I start? I never invited any one on tourist visa before. They can buy their own tickets and can take care of their own expenses in USA.
Do I still have to send them sponsership and all that paperwork? How do I start the process? Please help.

if they have enough assets you should not "sponsor" their trip, that means do not send your financial or legal status documents. do not send an i-134 and just send them an invitation letter.

First of all , you must determine if their income qualify for self sponsorship.
There is nothing preset by law but in practice a family income of Rs 10 lac/yr + is considered safe for self financing.

If they do have such income, then all you need to do is send an invitation letter and copies of your passport/visa.
They will need to show evidence of a stable occupation( business papers or job cum leave letters) and a document that establishes yours and your sister's relationship with you;both your bcs showing your parents' names on them.

If they do not qualify for self financing, you will also need to send an affidavit of support , form I-134 and supporting financial documents listed on from I-134.
