Dependent/Visitor visa

I am currently in USA. I would like to get my parenst for a visit. Issue is my father's name on his passport is slightly different from that on my passport (as all his records has that name and my school records went wrong somehow). My mother's name matches with that of my passport.

How do I send the sponser letters for both of them? Different name on my passport & my father's will create an issue for Visa ?
What are all other visas available for their visit if not dependent visa.

Do you have a municipal birth certificate with your parents' correct names on it? usually they try to make sure that applicants are actually the parents of the host child by looking at the child's bc.

If your bc is not available or is incomplete or also has the faulty name, you have to post how big the difference is it.

Minor one's may be explanable.

No big deal as long as the name is there is some form. BTW, consulates do not have time to go through such minor imperfections.

I do not have a bc at this point of time.
Name on my passport is venkat rao and my father's pasport has his name as venkataiah.
