  • Interview dates in Hindi at Delhi embassy

I have been trying to schedule Visa interview for my mother in Hindi and it's been more than 2 months that I couldnt see a single date available.

Altough after reading on couple of websites I came to know that one can book the appointment in English and request for a Hindi Interpreter on the date of interview.

While on a couple of websites like VFS, they have strictly mentioned that appointment dates should be booked as per the availability of Hindi slots.

I am utterly confused. I could see many people facing simillar problems.

Will be great if some one can share their experience. I have made many calls to VFS call centre and else where but unable to get the correct information.

    Will highly appreciate your help.

    Thanks,
    Preeti

You just have to book in the right category. There might be instances where people got lucky by booking an english appointment and got a translator. Doesn't happen all the time and the VO may choose to not interview if they notice such tricks.

I am not a lawyer and you need to consult with one to validate any info posted on the forum and discuss your case specifics. H1b Question? Read the FAQ first.

      Hi,

I am trying to get hindi interview for my mother, and was able to see the dates in Mumbai consulate, though that time I did not want to book the dates.

I will suggest you check the VFS site atleast twice a day(if you are not doing this already).
      Best of luck.

This has been asked many times. You can not expect a translator if you booked an interview in english. You must book the appointment in the appropriate language.

I was awake the entire Friday night and I couldnt get Hindi dates available at Delhi embassy. Tough, I could feel many updates have been going at the back end like " a disclaimer saying that English appointment dates are meant for interview in English only"

I could see the whole 2nd week of June available for Hindi Interview in Mumbai Embassy , tough. But none in Delhi.

Any idea, when do they update the interview slots for Delhi.........?

They likely told you to book in the correct language. That IS the correct information. Do as you have read on the OFFICIAL website and been told.

Read also in the forum archives that parents have appeared and asked for an interpreter and have been told to rebook their appointments in the correct language. You may get lucky and get an interpreter if booked in English but there are no guarantees like there are if you book correctly.

                    hi ,
I was in the same boat as you guys . I got it on Thursday Morning 6:56 am EST on the july 4th weekend for 24th July , there was only one date available. . But i also saw appt dates available on the previous Friday morning. So iam guessing at the end of week they update their system with the new slots/cancellations/rescheduling. I kept checking every 5 min. I suggest try Fri,sat and sundays morning from 5-7am EST.

PS: The dates become unavailable very quickly, so keep everything ready. Its really worth to fill-up the app-form every 7 days(since they delete them after 7 days). I had to fill up the form twice.

                    Good luck

I am in the same boat. I am also trying for Hindi appointment at Delhi Embassy for my parents from past 3 weeks and every week we need to fill up the form again. VFS Help guys are giving standard reply that keep trying.
I tried on Friday night EST but no luck. Can any body post on forum if he/she see dates available. I know it is tough and out of sync information but it will help us to understand the frequency of released dates in Hindi. I believe they might be releasing date just 1 time in a month. So it is better to know about past released date and time. I appreciate your help.

This is totally ridiculuous. I dont know why the hell they cant have fix time for this and get it over with. Coz they f..king dont care who gets which slot. The only reason i see why they would do such a thing is to create a black market for dates. I came to know that some of the people in my hometown which is Jalandhar are claiming to have some kind of APPROACH and they can get the dates provided you pay them their fees. I think this is bit too much for me. Taking everyone's peace and on top of that causing so much inconvenience and costing money.. doesnot make any f....ing sense...!!

                          any common thoughts...!!

I also heard the same thing from one of my friend, they were asking 15000 per interview and was arranging the interview for my parents. I said no to them, i was little reluctant and suspecious about this.
But now I think it is true.
Guy can we do something to stop this kind of illegal activities?
