Visitor Visa Sponser

Hi,

I am Planning to Sponser Visitor visa to my mom. but my visa and I-94 expired on April 10th 2008 . I filed for extension and I got the Reciept number
but still it is in pending status. I checked with my employer they are saying it will take 2 more months to get approval.

So in this situation can I sponser visitor visa to my mom using my recipet number .

Please advise me in this regard. becoz my wife is preganent and we are expecting baby on Aug 2nd week of 2008. so I need my mom to be here.by July 2nd or 3rd week.
Please guide me in this regard.

Based your response I booked visa interview date fom my mom. but recently I checked my status in USICS site it is updated as " Requesting for Addition Evidence sent"

So in this situation Can proceed to attend my mom visa interview or not
Please advise me on this regard.
