Visitor-Question-visa Exp

Hi

My father is about to visit Consulate –chennai in june.
My h1 visa will be expired in Sep08. (My company will apply for renewal in July).
Will he be asked :
Your son`s visa will expire in Sep08 (i.e 4 months) how can you apply for 6months stay ?
If visa is provided will they give him for 4 months only ?

Do I need to apply for Renewal first and send him ?

It is not an issue. The duration of the visitor visa is determined by the VO during the interview based on their comfort level but not based on your petition duration.
