If you are planning to enter US for vacation, B2 is the visa for you.

Am of Indian origin and am currently sailing aboard a merchant ship as a passenger.
I am the wife of the Chief Officer of the vessel and I boarded at Toyohashi in Japan.

I currently have a valid (till 2016) US B1/B2 visa and have visited the US once before in 2006.

The vessel will be reaching Newark on the June 19 from where I plan to disembark from the vessel.
I would like to visit friends on the east coast for about 2 weeks before I return to India.

You can visit even without an invitation from the friends. Just have an email, if you like.

I am not a lawyer and you need to consult with one to validate any info posted on the forum and discuss your case specifics. H1b Question? Read the FAQ first.
