Hi ,
I appeared for the B2 visa interview on 7th May 2008 at Delhi consulate.My husband is having B1 multiple entry visa for 10 yrs .He joined X company on 5th of may 2008 in Delhi n he is working as a technical team lead.The companys client is in U.s n my husband is requested to be there in U.S. for 6 month to understand the mortgage business process.
Following questions were asked to me:
Where is your husband working?
A) X Company
In the form it was mentioned that my purpose of visit is to accompany my husband on official viait and for tourism purpose which gave an impression to the consulate that my husband is moving officially to U.S as i have not been able to express and communicate very clearly out of nervousness.
vo-when did your husband joined the company
A) 5 may 2008
vo-what is his designation
A) Technical team lead
Vo-which visa ur husband is holding
A)Multiple entry B1 visa
Vo-ur husband cannot move officially to U.s on this visa
Vo-for hiow long he is going
A) 6 months
Vo asked for the client invitation letter which i showed then she asked is
this ur husbands employer
A) no this is the client
Vo discussed it with the next window verbbally my case n said sorry since u could not convince the consulate so ur visa is refused n i was given the letter of rejection ubder 214(b)
I am newly married in feb 2008 and my husband is going to US for a requirememnt gathering.
I want to visit U.S with him and my second interview is on 5th june 2008.Can you give me some guide on how to prepare for the interview and list of questions which can be asked to me when i wil appear for the second time.
