Me and my wife are here since Sept07 nd Oct07 on 10yrs multiple entry B1 B2 visa.We had entered seprately on entry My wife was given I-94 till Jan26 and i was given till 8 march.We have already filed for an extension till July 27.I'm planning to leave before that.My question is there anyway i can change my visa status to any other category which will entitle me to stay for another year.Also if i decide to go back to my home country and come back after a month will we be denied entry as we have already stayed for more than 180 day's in the last 12 month or will we get new I -94.Please advice.

If the extension is denied after the I-94 expires, it voids your visa and you have to apply for a new visa.

What you get upon re-entry is upto the POE officer and it depends on them. Generally, it is considered abuse of visitor visa and they could deny entry.

What in the world are you trying to do? there is no excuse for "staying" in the USA for so long... what are your plans?

Unless there is a real reason for your extension, this will be denied and once you have extended your stay... you can not leave and come back during the "extension" period... you would have to be issued another I-94 and the POE officer will very likely deny you as you are abusing your visitor visa.
