  • Lost I-94

    Hi,

My mother lost her I-94 when she came to US in March 2008.We have applied for a replacement but have not received it till now.She has to returnback to India asap due to family emergency. Can she return back? Will she face any problems at US or Indian airport? She has at present 10 year visa but we have applied for her GC.Will her losing I-94 pose any problem in future?

I would really appreciate if you could help me in resolving this problem.

    Thanks in Advance,
    IJ

Has she stayed beyond her I-94 validity waiting for a replacement?

She will not have any problems, for as long as she did not overstay the original date on her I-94.

All she needs to do is leave the USA. BUT MAKE SURE SHE KEEPS THE Boarding passes... as proof that she left in a timely fashion, and bring them with her as a evidence next time she attempts to enter the USA.
