  • Help with Names in D156 - Urgent..

    Hi All,

One of my friends said that this is the best site that can help me. So this is my last resort too.

    Here is my problem.

I'm sponsoring visitor VISA for my in-laws. My FILs fullname as in passport is

    SRIRAMAKRISHNAMANOHARA RAAGHAVARAJU

    surname is different again..

I know, its a pretty long name.

Now the issue is, the length of the textbox in D 156 (the note on this page says, put the name as is as what is in PP) or screen prior to it (where we put the applicant's name, mother's name, HDFC receipt #), it doesn't accept the whole name.

When I type full name, it comes to SRIRAMAKRISHNAMANOHARA RAAGHAVARA

    "JU" is not getting accomodated.

    So I tried, "SRIRAMAKRISHNAMANOHARA R"

Is it OK to have "RAAGHAVARAJU" mentioned as just "R" something like a middle initial.

I really dont understand what to do. I have to take the web appoiintment today at any cost. Plz help me out.

    Experts, need ur comments..

    Thanks
    Bobbie

Write as much as it can accomodate. Don't truncate it just to R.

I am not a lawyer and you need to consult with one to validate any info posted on the forum and discuss your case specifics. H1b Question? Read the FAQ first.

OK, I understand what u say. But, if I write R & when the officer questions, I can always say that R is middle initial.
