Hi,
I am a student in Boston. I will be graduating in august 2008. I want my brother to attend the graduation ceremony. My Brother just completed his Engineering in India. He has been placed in Wipro. But his joining date is quite far away(in Oct). I will be sending him a letter of invitation on my University letterhead stating his purpose of visit. But there are few reasons that I am contemplating before sending him for the visa interview:
1. I have read in many forums that a young, single brother reason's to attend a sister's graduation is too casual a purpose.
2. I have my parents here who were sponsored by my elder sister(green card holder) and they have a visa for 6 months and they will be attending my graduation.
3. I will not be sponsoring his trip. He will say that our dad is sponsoring the trip. Dad has 2 business in India.
My only fear is if for any reason his visa gets rejected, it would affect his chances of coming here later for his higher studies.
I want to know if any one has had a similar situation and any kind of suggestions are welcome.
Thank you.
