Im on a 10 year multi entry b1.b2 visa south african passport.I applied for extension and am still waiting(pending although the date is up)I have a job offer that is specifically skilled (the owner will create it to suit my skills).Im still in the us and my 180 days will expire in 1 month-how can i stay in the states and become legit and start work-do i change status to eb3 -my potential boss will sponsor me and do what it takes to keep me here,my country is a mess and it just doesnt work for me anymore and my skills are better here and no american has the skills yet that i have-which i can train however i dont have a degree.the law firm wants to charge me 5k for this process which is a lot of money -is there a alternative way i can do this-or should one just pay to make sure its done properly, which im hesitant to do?So basically what are my options to stay and not return to south africa ?thank you

What you want to do is not possible, B1/B2 cannot be chaged to EBx. Try H1 - work visa in April 2009. Your illegal presence in the US will work against you when you will want to become a legal alien worker. BTW whats the peculiar skills you have that no american has yet acquired...???

thanks for the reply-however it is possible to do the change ,according to two immigration law-the H1-B visa isnt going to work for my situation just yet-It was meant to come across that not many americans have the qualification that i have-(qualifed game ranger in big 5 areas of africa)and others that we dont need to go into-the pointis that its a specialist position and im trying to avoid the 5 k fee on this proccess-thank you for your time to reply
