multiple entry visa - revisit - time request

My mother-in-law came to US on tourist visa and stayed with us from Nov 18 2008 to May 14 2008. She is planning to visit us back coming July 10 2008. I would like to book the air ticket. Will there be any issue? she has got valid multiple entry visa for another 10 years. One of my friend told me that "she has to stay in india for atleast 6 months to come back"

is it true? what is the correct approach?

Could you please provide me more information on this?

Your friend is your true well-wisher. S/he is right. A B2 visa is to visit the US, not to live in the US. So if your mom was in the US for 6 months and coming back again in July for another 6 months then of course she is living in the US and merely visiting her home country!!!

Save her from additional questioning, shorter stay periods on I-94, red-flagged as an immigrant, and many more troubles including canceling of her visa by asking her to live in her home country and only visit you in the US. In any 12 month period, more time has to be spent in the home country than in the US.

Most likely she will be given a short visit time on her I-94. My aunt was given only 1 month for coming back too soon after visiting for 6 months.
