  • Do I need to get tourist visa for UK while travelling to USA?

    Hi,

My parents are coming to USA next month in tourist visa. They like to stay London while coming to USA to visit their relatives.

In case they want to stay in london for couple of weeks while coming to USA,do they need to have tourist visa for U.K? I have heard that if we have valid visa for USA we do not need to get the visa for U.K. Is it true?

I think you'll need a visa to stay in UK. Wait for others to respond though. Also this is a forum for questions about visas to the US.

Yes you need a valid visa to enter in to UK. Please apply in your parents' home country for a visitor visa. My friend who entered Dallas, USA, stayed in UK for 3 days for sight seeing after obtaining valid visitor visa. Of course this is not a legal advise and am giving the fact what my friend told me.

They will CERTAINLY need a tourist visa to stay in UK. Some countries like France will permit you to pass through their airport without a visa if you are travelling to the US with a valid visa. Even there you will need a tourist visa for France if you wish to go out of the airport.
