  • Wife on visitor visa

    Hey
My wife F2 got rejected(But no stamp on passport about rejection). I am trying to get her for my graduation on visitor visa. I want my uncle to sponsor her for trip. How about her chances of getting visa? Does this effect her future F2 or H4 chances. Please let me know.

US consulates have stopped giving a physical stamp to indicate a rejection long back. They now track rejections electronically. No hiding or it may result in a permanent ban.

She should sponsor the trip, or you... not an uncle that has nothing to do with this picture... visas are awarded based on personal ties to one's home country, the sponsorship has very little to do with it.

Its a little surprising that your wife's F2 got rejected. Are you sure you want to get her to the US only for your graduation or do you intend to to change her status once she enters? Do you mind sharing the reason of F2 denial? Why are you not sponsoring her for her B2 visa? Do you intend to hide the fact that her husband - you are in the US?

I'm just trying to understand the exact situation...

I am not intending to change her status once she is here.Graduation invitaion letter i see as a strong point for visa. . I know she can not get F2 if she tries again as i do not have the RA/TA which i have till now. Tt has been 1.5yeas we r married and away from each other. I plan to get he on visitor visa until i process my H1 and H4 for her.Any advice??

Visitors are allowed to vist but not stay. If she visits, she will be required to leave after the graduation or shortly thereafter. No staying till H1 gets processed.
