Visit visa for widowed mother - A different case

Hi Sir/Madam,

I am having L1B visa and will be travelling to U.S sometime in Sep. I had been there for 5 months during 2007. This time, I am planning to take my mom along with me showing my company's letter which says that this assignment is only for 3 months. Will this work out? I have sufficient bank balance in both USA and India. All I am worried is, will they ask for invite letter? How long does it take to get an appointment in regional languages?
