Hello,
I have recently immigrated to Canada and have a permanent resident status. My husband is a Canadian citizen. At this time I have a valid Philippine passport and am working towards my Canadian citizenship in three years time.
I live in Thunder Bay, Ontario, very near the Minnesota border. With my husband, I would love to visit the beautiful northern states bordering on Canada.
To obtain a visitors visa to the Us, I understand that I must be nterviewed. I am 950 miles from the nearest American consulate in Toronto. Due to the cost and time required to get to Toronto, this is simply not possible for me.
Is it possible to bypass this interview and, perhaps, be interviewed by the border staff at the US border checkpoint at Pigeon River, Mn.?
Thanking you very much for your time in this matter,
