I am planning to invite my mother to USA. I have tried so many times to fix the visa appointment in telugu at chennai consulate using VFS site. But i cannot able to fix it. Kindly help at what time & time zone is the best time to fix the appointment. Please help me to fix the appointment...Thanks in advance....

even am trying to book visa slot for my parents in telugu at chennai consulate...post to this thread if you could get a slot.it will be helpfull for me..
ppl who cld get the slot tells that we need to look for them on fri,sat 5AM ET

n another thing, to which place your parents are coming to in US?mine in to phoenix, Arizona.jus in case if they can be co-travellers.

Blocking tickets

Hi Jyothi/ Veena,

My parents are having an appointment on the 19th and I want to get them here as soon as possible. Please let me know if It is advisable to block tickets before the visa is approved. If I can block what will be the duration I can block for.

Also please let me know if you know any genuine travel agent I can trust and block tickets. You can send the details in a private message.

we havent yet blocked any air tickets for my parents.will do once the stamping is done.
will let you know once i got to know any info about the agents or so...
and do post your parents/in-laws experiences after the interview.
i dont know for sure that if we can block tickets before the interview, if its possible jus to block with out paying/paying a small amount--- go ahead.let me know if you are thru with this.

documents to the consulate

My brother and his wife got appointment on 25th in Chennai. I took online appointment. But I just wonder do they need to send any additional forms to consulate before the interview. Can some one reply as soon as possible. Thanks a lot in advance

No,

We do not have to send any documents to the consulate but carry all the documents on the day of the interview. Hope you have sent I-134 and asked them to print original DS-156 and DS-157 documents.

Keep trying because it unpredictable when the appointments are open.I keep the site open all time and check for every 15 mins.One day i saw the opening at 9 am and other day at 12pm so unpreditable.I would suggest you to do the same.All the best
