I am applying for my sister's visa who is a housewife.So in DS156 form for Q21(Prsent occupation) should i write as 'NA' or is it okay to write as housewife.It mentions write retired if retired and student if student?

My husband is sponsoring for her visa. Should i send my birth certifcate along with the other sponsor documents from my husband to show that i am her sister in case if she is asked.However my sister does not have her birth certificate, but her passport details can be looked to verify?


Should i also send my passport copies( my husband- the sponsorer is sending his passport copies which is needed), because i read that if sponsoring for in -laws spouse must also send his/her passport copies, but this is for sister-in-law though

Homemaker or Home Maker ...

... is the American equivalent of Housewife.

I am not sure whether YOUR birth cert can verify that she's your sister, though it can't hurt.

Your passport copies will surely be helpful.
