Doubt in the VFS checklsit

Hi,

My husband is sponsoring the visit of my parents as I am on H4. After booking the interview date, there was a point in the checklist,
" Dependants joining spouse/ father on board ship must submit a photocopy
of the principal applicant's visa "
Could you tell me what this point means? Whose visa copy is required?

It does not apply to you.

Point#1: Parents are NOT dependents as per US law.
Point#2: There is no principal applicant for a visitor visa. Each applicant is evaluated on an individual basis.
