  • Address in passport mispelt

My sister's visa interview is next week. There is a mistake in residential address in her passport. They have mispelled as "Vembal Post" instead of "Vemgal post". I have filled the address in DS156 as per the passport(mispelled name as Vembal).

1)Someone please let me know, if i have to spell it correctly as Vemgal Post in Ds156 for the address question or should i fill it as per the passport?

2)Also please let me know what should i be mentioning for address in her property affidavit, affidavit of assurance and other formal letters?

Should we mention in all documents as the address mentioned in passport or correct them?

We have already filled with wrong address( as in passport) in I-134 form and in invitation letter and mailed the documents to my sister for her interview in 3-4 days. If i change it to correct address in DS156 now it wont be consistent, will that be okay?

    Write correct address everywhere possible.

Such a mistake in the passport is not a problem. Don't have to repeat the same mistake everywhere.

My sisters interview date is on aug 14th in 4 days time, can i edit Q15 for the address in DS156 now? How many hours /days before the interview can one edit DS156, please reply.

But i have already sent I134 and invitation letters with wrong address, is it okay as i cant change and mail them now, and also as u say that its common for such mistakes in passport will it be okay if i dont correct address in I134?
