    Hi every one,Iam an Indian Pharmacist working in USA on H1 visa.My mom's alone at home in India,and I would like to get her here permanently with me.Is there any way to get her here permanently other than on visit.I will appreciate your comments.

    You can petition for her residency once you become a US citizen.

      First you need your employer to sponsor your GC, which may take 4-8 years? then be a resident for 5 years, then apply for citizenship (1 year?), and then you can sponsor her... so give or take 10-18 years, before you can bring your mom to live with you.

      Or you can just go back and live with her in India.

            As PraetorianIX stated, there is no legal shortcut for you to bring your mother to the US. Since you are a guest worker, she may only visit under the rules and regulation of the B2 visa - if she is able to qualify for it through her ties to her home country. Save your money; this information is readily available on the USCIS website.
