To Whom It May Concern:

My girlfriend is a Japanese citizen from Japan. I am an American citizen living in California. She would like to visit for up to 6 months. She was previously staying in America, studying at a university with a student visa from August 2007 through June 2008. She would like to come back and visit in October 2008 and stay for 6 months.

I understand that the tourist visa allows 90 days visitation. But, correct me if I'm wrong, she can apply for a Visitor Visa and stay up to 10 years? Your help is greatly appreciated.
