  • IMP:Need Guidance - US Visitor Visa for disabled person

    Hi,

I would really appreciate if someone can please help me in this. Currently I am in USA for the last 3 years. I wish to bring my parents for visit, but my father recently undergone leg amputation surgery in which his leg has been amputed. Can I know if there are certain rules/restrictions/facilities for disabled person like him so that they can get the US Visitor Visa quicky and with less complications like visting various banks, interviews etc. Are there any special considerations, help provided for his case, so that he and my mother can visit us here in USA.

    Pls reply ASAP.

    Regards,
    K

No special considerations. One has to attend the interview but they might allow another person to go along to assist for the visa if help is needed with the wheel chair. Ask VFS.

You can also get in touch with a travel agency that will do the admin stuff like fee payment in HDFC etc for a small fee.

I am not a lawyer and you need to consult with one to validate any info posted on the forum and discuss your case specifics. H1b Question? Read the FAQ first.

Be advised that medical care in the US is expensive. Any care associated with a pre-existing condition will not be covered by visitors insurance. Somce policies cover critical care for a pre-existing condition so choose the policy carefully.
